Calamus sp.  

Slender clustering rattan. Stems to 7 m long, without sheaths to 3 mm diam., with sheaths to 5 mm diam., internodes 9–17 cm. Leaves ecirrate; sheaths green, armed sparsely with scattered reflexed black-tipped spines with swollen paler bases, indumentum lacking; knee conspicuous; flagellum to 50 cm; ocrea not evident; petiole to 1 cm or less; rachis 17–20 cm, armed with scattered reflexed spines as the sheath; leaflets narrow lanceolate, 5–6 on each side of the rachis, irregularly arranged, dull green, the largest to 25 x 1.5 cm, often less, the terminal pair joined in basal 1–2 cm, slightly bristly along margins.
