SUMMARY
Small, solitary, understorey palm to 2 m tall. Stem 1.5–2 cm diam. Leaves 9–10 per stem, pinnate, spreading; sheaths to 12 cm long, tubular, marescent or abscising neatly; petiole to 8 cm long; rachis to 65 cm long; pinnae 4–6 per side, to 18–25 x 0.5–10 cm, ± trapezoid, sides not parallel, nerves diverging, apical margin praemorse. Inflorescences 2 or more per stem, interfoliar, to 45 cm long; peduncle to 20 cm long, rachis 3 cm long, rachillae 1–2(–4), to 30 cm long. Fruit ovoid, white to pink when unripe.
